Sometimes Rising Means Asking for Help
There’s something I’ve always struggled with: asking for help.
If you’ve followed my blog for a while, you know that Rising Phoenix Studio was created during a time in my life when everything felt like it was falling apart. It became a place where I could share my healing, my creativity, and the quiet strength it takes to keep rebuilding when life knocks you down.
I’ve always tried to be the one who figures things out on my own. The one who keeps pushing forward no matter what. But sometimes rebuilding doesn’t happen alone.
Right now, Hunter and I are in one of those moments.
Recently an apartment became available with a move-in date of April 1st, and it’s an opportunity I don’t want to pass up. It would allow Hunter to stay close to his school and maintain the routines that are so important for him. As many of you know, Hunter is on the autism spectrum, and stability makes an enormous difference in his world.
The timing, however, is sudden. Securing the apartment means coming up with the security deposit and first month’s rent much sooner than I had planned.
Writing this part is hard because asking for help has never come naturally to me. But I also know something important: sometimes strength isn’t about doing everything alone. Sometimes strength is allowing people who care to stand beside you.
Because of that, I created a GoFundMe to help bridge this gap and secure this home for Hunter and me.
If you feel moved to help, whether through a donation or simply sharing the fundraiser, it would mean more than I can put into words.
If helping financially isn’t possible, please know that your support, encouragement, and kindness through this blog have already helped me more than you probably realize.
Every comment, every message, every person who reads these words reminds me that even during the hardest seasons, we are never completely alone.
And just like the phoenix, we keep rising.
